What is the Farabi Exchange Program?

Farabi is a program that facilitates the exchange of students and academic staff between universities in Turkey. It is implemented at the associate, undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels. Its purpose is to allow students to gain education at different universities and develop their knowledge, skills, and social competencies.

Target Audience: Students and academic staff registered at universities in Turkey.
Application: Applications are made through the Farabi Coordination Office of the respective universities.

Types of Farabi Mobility

Student Mobility

  • Duration: 1 or 2 semesters (Fall or Fall+Spring)

  • Requirements:

    • Associate/Bachelor: minimum GPA 2.00/4.00

    • Master/PhD: minimum GPA 2.50/4.00

  • Students can apply starting from the 2nd year

Academic Staff Mobility

  • Offers opportunities for short-term teaching and academic collaboration between universities

What the Farabi Program Provides

  • Non-repayable grant support from YÖK

Note: Students employed in any public or private sector cannot benefit from the grant.
