What is the Mevlana Exchange Program?
Mevlana is a program that facilitates the exchange of students and academic staff between higher education institutions in Turkey and universities abroad. It was launched in 2011 and is financially supported by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
Target Audience: Students and academic staff registered at universities in Turkey.
Application: Applications are made through the Ankara University Mevlana Coordination Office.
Types of Mobility
For Students

Duration: 1 semester – 1 academic year

Requirements:

Undergraduate: minimum GPA 2.50/4.00

Master’s/PhD: minimum GPA 3.00/4.00

Financial Support: Grants are provided for up to 4 months
For Academic Staff

Duration: 14 – 89 days

Teaching Load: Maximum 6 hours per week

Expenses: Daily allowance and travel costs covered by YÖK
Application Process

Applications are announced every February and last about 1 month.

Results are announced during May–June.

Required documents: photographed form, transcript, language certificate (for students), or CV (for academic staff)
Note: Students can only choose one university. The list of partner institutions and quotas should be followed on the official website of the Mevlana Office.
